Role
Play – Little Red Riding Hood (Part II)
Due to mosquito
fogging activity was being carried out on 24th July, the class was
being cancelled. Therefore, there’s no blog update on 24th
July (Thursday).
Today, I found a
red sleeveless T-shirt with a hood. It is just the perfect outfit for Little
Red Riding Hood. We managed to have 2 rounds of role play today though some of
the children didn’t want to participate; I just let them be the
audience.

The children tried their best
to remember the scene and the words to say. Yet, I will still have to guide
them most of the time.

Here come the wood cutter (Huey Xin) to chase away the wolf. |
Game – Who Has Gone With the Wind
I noticed that the children
still new to names of colours. They needed more practice. Therefore, I chose
this game today, hopefully, they could link the colours with its name.
Before we start, we went
through all the colours that we could possibly find on each other clothing. Then
I guided them how we should play the game.
Teacher: Gone with the wind.
Children: Who has gone with
the wind?
Teacher: The one with red
colour on their clothes.
(Then those children who had
red on their clothes will have to stand up and exchange seats with each other.)
We had a few rounds of this
game so that the children could be familiar with it. Yet, some of them still
needed to be reminded to look at their clothes for the colour being mentioned.
