Book Sharing & Drawing

I picked a book to share with the children - The Yummiest Cake. (This book is in Mandarin, I translated it when reading to the children).

The story happened in the big rain forest when all the animals were busy preparing their cake for the "Cake Competition". Everyone thinks that their cake is the tastiest and the yummiest. Lion will be the judge for this competition. 

On that day of the competition, all the animals placed their cake on the table. After the lion had first tasted the rabbit's cake, he gave a comment saying that that's the tastiest cake he had ever had. The crow quickly make the announcement. Unfortunately, this created a chaos among the animals who don't agree with the result and started a fight among themselves. The animals picked up the cake and started to smash everyone. Cakes were flying in the air. Suddenly, when all the cake mixed together, the lion went over and tasted it. The lion said the taste was good. From then on, the animal decided that they wanted to bake a big tasty cake together so that they will not argue anymore. 

After the story, I gave each children a piece of paper. They will imagine that they were one of the animal in the story. They also needed to bake a cake. They drew their cake on the piece of paper.
